A Little History
It all started with a passion for not-so-traditional burgers and a lot of bourbon-infused brainstorming sessions. So we thought, “Let’s put the two together and see what happens.” An upscale burger & bourbon bar. Why not?
So in early 2010, we jumped at the opportunity to inhabit what was once the Southern Railway Baggage Building (c. 1867). With the menu complete and a charming space with which to work, we started figuring out how to give this project the justice it deserved.
We decided to go for LEED Certification, and we ended up turning one of CampusTowne’s oldest buildings into one of the most environmentally friendly businesses in the city.
Friends over at The Strauss Company, River Street Architecture, and green|spaces helped us realize our dream.
Who We Are
IT’S WAY MORE THAN JUST FOOD
Roberta and I (I'm Chuck, by the way) both grew up here and have always wanted to help contribute to what makes our city so unique and wonderful. We love our city and are proud to say we own and operate one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly businesses in town. We believe in supporting our community and being the best neighbor we can.
So this year, our team will volunteer over 120 hours for local organizations and we will donate over 3% of our profits back to local causes.
If you have a cause that you think we should know about, please let us know by emailing ChuckC@atomicmushroom.com. And for Pete's sakes, come down and enjoy the food.
